Because of her lively performance in ‘Boys Before Flowers’, once again Goo Hye Sun become a hot focus. Vogue exclusive interview show the true face of Goo Hye Sun outside the scene.
Goo Hye Sun arrived five minutes earlier than the appointed time. She wore a soft black cap, wearing a black T-shirt, black trousers and black boots. By wearing all black, she can hide herself in the crowd however her white radiant skin have revealed her existence more clearly.

She quietly passed by everyone and went into the studio, waiting quietly in the makeup room, ready for her make over and hairdo. Her behavior was quite different from her role as Jan Di in ‘Boys Before Flowers’. She revealed a strong contrast between the lively Jan Di and a quiet Goo Hye Sun, which simply divided herself in the world of her own.

Goo Hye Sun’s performing career has a very dramatic start. It all started with her friends posting her pictures on the web for the fun of it. Through circulating on the internet, the picture received a large number of supporters and she was crowned as the ‘2002 Internet Most Beautiful Girl’. The throne acted an opened door for Goo Hye Sun to start her performing career.

She debuts in year 2004 and has an average of acting in one drama every year. With regards to her performance, some viewers supported her, some viewers gave bad comments, but no matter how many applause or questions, the fact that she has become the absolute focus.

She never have feel happier from the acting process. She expressed: “My problem is that I want to do so much things, once it has started, I want to see the results.” While filming ‘Boys Before Flowers’, she started writing her novel ‘Tango’. She would write it everyday when the filming has called off. She only gets to sleep for an hour everyday. She was so tired that she feel like dying but she simply just can’t stop doing when she thought that something has to be done urgently. Even if she stopped, she cannot get to sleep either.

The short film ‘The Cheerful Caretaker’ directed by her get into the finals of the ‘Busan Asian Short Film Festival’ this year. She does everything from scriptwriter, director, writing, painting, writing lyrics and composing the music. She used different forms to ’say’ out the things that she feel touched or depressed in her heart.

“Love has it own expression. Earlier I went singing with two newly wed couple and I encountered it. When I see them looking at each others eyes, I can feel it the first time that when someone really loves the other person, this is the vision of love. For 26 years, I have never see anyone in this perspective way.”

She expressed: “The biggest challenge is to get married. Marriage is a difficult thing. To me, either love or marriage means that I have to give up something, giving up my career, giving up my friends, giving up a part of my life. In fact, life is accumulated by choices, when you choose a certain thing, you have to give up other things. I can give up myself for love last time as for now I couldn’t.”

She said: “I still have alot of things to do. I want to make a full length movie about a story of the musicians and their music. Movie is the best way to express the art. I would like to communicate with people all over the world through the movie.” She added she has always wanted to make movies, it was her biggest dream.
